The name YUIL itself, translates in the Korean language as unique or as one without peer. It is a name that both describes our Office and what we strive to be every day, a Office that provides the utmost in client service and satisfaction.  

Korea has one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Its significance, both as a producer and as a market for commercial and industrial goods, is steadily growing, and likewise, domestic filing of all kinds of intellectual property is occurring at a steady and brisk pace. This trend has not gone unnoticed by the outside world, as filing of intellectual property in Korea has become increasingly vital for protecting the interests of many of the world's top companies. Therefore, it becomes crucial when choosing the right Office to do the job of handling one's interests in Korea, be it patents, utility models, trademarks, or designs

YUIL International Patent & Law Office was founded in Seoul, Korea on December 1993.

In 1998, Yuil opened its new era when Mr. Sung-Bae Kang joined the firm with extensive knowledge and experience of intellectual property law.

Since Yuil's inception, it has experienced remarkable growth, becoming one of the fastest growing patent law offices in Korea. Though a young office, Yuil has already proven itself adept and capable in matters of Intellectual Property as our clients would testify.

Actually, we handle matters of all technical fields in prosecution and litigation, however our specialties are in electronic technology, semiconductor devices, DRAMs, LCDs, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and automobile industry etc.

Mr. Kang graduated with his BSC in Mechanical Engineering from Chungang University. He joined our office in 1998 as a partner and has 20 years of professional experience working at Kim & Chang, Lee International and Bae, Kim & Lee.
